Hello dear reader! Welcome to the Poet’s Cafe. We hope you find it cozy here. This space is one of our many creative outlets, and one that we’d love to share with you. In addition to our writings, we will share submissions from our readers (who will be credited).
Poetry Sunday’s
Each week we will highlight a new writing on social media. We invite you every Sunday to sit with a cup of tea (or coffee) and read a new entry. It’s our way of bringing together a virtual gathering of readers. At times, we will post words from poets that have inspired us. Poets like Shakespeare, Poe, Frost, Song and others. Be sure to follow us on FaceBook and Instagram so you can see our stories and join in!
We share links to herbal tea recipes and tea party ideas curated just for you, reflective of each season. You can see an example of that here.
Sharing is caring!
We realize that sharing your words can be a very vulnerable thing. For some of us, writing poetry is how we deal with emotions or certain situations in our lives. For example, some of our poetry is pretty dark. You could say it’s representative of our Goth side. Much of these works were written while dealing with periods of depression. To publish these pieces is a bit terrifying! It’s literally bearing your raw soul to the masses. However, if something we have struggled through can resonate with someone else who has dealt with something of the like, it can help to feel that you’re not alone.
Other times, our poetry is light and uplifting! Remember, in our welcome message we said this blog is all over the place…..like us! Expect to find all kinds of different writing here. A kaleidoscope library, if you will. All sorts of different moods, words and stories fit for any occasion. (If you haven’t read our welcome message, you can go here to see it)
Your invitation…..
With that being said, we invite you, dear reader, to share this space with us! What better way to get to know each other? We’d love to present your words here too. If you would like to submit your work for us to share, please send us an email by hitting the paper airplane at the top of the blog. We will always credit your work (unless you prefer to remain anonymous, in which case we fully respect your anonymity). We look forward to sharing with you!
